When did we start?
Thames Estuary Lobster Hatchery began in 2020 with the first job being somewhere to store juvenile lobsters, with the task set the search for a clean, easy to modify building was underway and after a short while a structure fitting the variables was found and put in place.

Sea life education and scientific research
Here at the Thames estuary lobster hatchery we pride ourselves on not only the release programme but our education center where we cater for pre school and upwards, we can provide placements for university students and for all adult learning giving access to state of the art aquahives and grow on room.

Conservation connections
Our project has strong links to Kent and Essex inshore fisheries.
The fish health inspectorate and local authorities also help and guide us to ensure the lobsters we release have a clean bill of health.
